Kommunikationsprotokoll nach dem Standard RS485 (siehe auch RS232). Hauptmerkmale dieses Standards sind: Übertragungsrate von 38,4 Mbit/s, Kommunikation in Master-Slave-Konfiguration mit Zweipunkt- (1 Master- und 1 Slave-System) oder Mehrpunktverbindung (1 Master und max. 32 Slave-Systeme). USV Anlagen sind standardmäßig mit einer Schnittstelle für dieses Übertragungsprotokoll ausgerüstet.
